GRAND PRIX
Bologna in the 1960s was a hotbed of motorbike design and production. Erio Testi started his motorcycle company alongside Malaguti and Ducati in the province of Bologna in Northern Italy. Testi was known for creating elegant, high-tech mopeds built to exacting standards, even when these values made their bikes more expensive. Stylish and sporty, the Grand Prix typified all of these standards: race handlebars, suspension fork, Minarelli 50cc engine, and three-speed gearbox with hand shifter made the Grand Prix hugely popular. Throughout the 1960s and 70s, the company produced several successful sports mopeds such as the ‘Champion’.
